Working with Jimmy

Jimmy is a physio i met this week, he is the same age as me and we qualified the same time. He is an amazing physio who went to a local township school and is the only person in his township to go to university, an amazing accomplishment! He can speak 8 languages and spends his day working within the local state funded hospital and the surrounding community.

Going to work with Jimmy was an education, he has varied facilities depending on the clinics he attends and as you can see in the photo's these clinics are extremely busy! If you have two hand you help in these clinics and ive had a fantastic time trying to work as a physio when i dont speak the language and have none of the usual NHS resources at my disposal. Working in Welkom has been an eye opener!! and i have been amazed at the optomism and positive attitude of all those trying to help cater for the huge numbers of people without health care.
